The organization “Young Barristers” addresses the citizens of Georgia and calls for display of exceptional responsibility towards signing of association with European Union, because after attaining liberty, there is a real possibility to declare the choice of Georgian people strengthened by constitution – to settle democratic public order and just state, economical liberty, ensure internationally acknowledged human safety, strengthen freedom of the state, which is inconceivable without Euro integration and companionship with Europe.

According to the statement “Young Barristers”-s lawyer, Nino Isakadze, making the agreement of association with Euro union official is Georgian Government’s new act, because from June 27, 2014, there must be gradual change in established political, social and economical life. The country, by signing the agreement of association, creates a new jurisdictive space and opportunity for the citizens, and it will strengthen democracy and freedom rights in Georgia. The country is obliged to take advantage of these values and promote their settlement.

On the evaluations of „Young Barristers“, it is crucial, for the solid consequences of Georgia’s historical moment, to get high level of interest from representatives of executive power, jurisdictive power and court, for responsibilities to be executed with the outermost eagerness to give the citizens of Georgia tangible and favorable outcome from the process of Euro integration. The organization, for such consequences, calls government, parliament and court to:

1. Start supporting democratic institutions, strengthen the transparency of public administration politically, economically and jurisdictionally, strengthen human right and liberty safety, ensured equality and devotion to democracy from the leading system
2. Ensure public participation in political decision making process. It is important, to raise public responsibility in decision making and strengthen public control in the process of democratic reforms.
3. Georgian government, after making the agreement of association with Euro union official, to make prompt changes, which will trigger the implementation of essential reforms
4. Georgian government should ensure bringing implemented reforms in accordance with European jurisdiction.
5. Georgian court should bring in the high democratic standarts, where concurrency and equality between two sides will be independent from governmental interaction. The court should try to filter the political influence and act as a real arbiter.

We consider, that “agreement of association between Gerogia and Euro Union” is an innovative and ambitious document, for it encapsulates Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DC FTA) and forsees important concrete mechanisms for getting closer to Euro Union.The organization, in this process, will play role for raising public awareness. The group is already working on the plan for monitoring the taken directives, which includes working, transport politics, environment, competition, education and health care issue expertise. In young generation, for raising awareness, “Young Barristers” are implementing project “Together for European Choice”.
