„Young Barristers“ warn citizens about bank actions

Co-founder and leader of „Young Barristers“, Archil Kaikatsishvili adresses, with letter, general director of „Liberty Bank” JSC, Giorgi Arveladze” and demands restraint from banks’ willfulness and illegal acts. Archil Kaikatsishvili states, that “Liberty Bank” uses the personal information without any further agreement, thus violating the law of “safety of personal information” on purpose.

„On July 8th, 2014, at 19:03, I received a message on my cell phone with number: XXX XXXXXX from “Liberty Bank” JSC, saying: “New offer from “Liberty Bank!” type *116# and get loan of 250 laris in a second, check the balance on the account and transfer money to your cell phone”! I am addressing you to take my contact information out of the bank’s database, so that I will not be notified any further about you banks’ so called “New Offers”. As a customer, I reject my cell phone number or any other contact information to be included in the banks database, because from June, 2014, I do not have any agreement or contract with “Liberty Bank” JSC for it to use my personal information. Accordingly, I am addressing you to ensure the gratification of my plead as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will illegally take advantage of my personal information, which will be followed by jurisdictive reaction. As a former costumer, on the basis of unconscientious acts towards me from banks and individuals’ side, I have a complete distrust, because of what I reject “Liberty Bank” using my personal information without my consent.”   

„Young Barristers“ address the citizens, to show more caution towards this type of offers from text messages, for aside of bank’s one time offer, problems suchs as doubled rate of return, high interests rate and fine on breaking the deadline may arise. Because it is still not clear what terms and conditions are followed by so called “Instant Loan”, complications may arise, and upon not knowing, the customer may end up in the database of “Credit Info Georgia” or any of such organizations.
