Ambassador of the EU in Georgia, Philip Dimitrov positively evaluated a civil campaign of organization the “Young Barristers”, which aims to raise awareness of Georgian society on Georgia-EU relationship.

The letter says:

„Thank you for your letter dated 11 March 2014.

I appreciate the commitment of your organization to inform the Georgian public about the benefits of political association and economic integrtation of Georgia with the EU.

I would like to assure you that the EU Delegation to Georgia together with the EU Member States Embassies and the Government of Georgia pay particular attention to the information work in the crucial year of signature of the AssociationAgreement.

We fully understand the role civil society can play in explaining the benefits of the Association Agreement to wider population; this is why recently the EU Delegation to Georgia issued a call for proposals for civil society organizations to conduct information work on the subject. Should similar opportunity to submit proposals arise in the future, information about it will be posted on our website.

At the same time, we are constantly updating our website with information regarding the Association Agreement; currently we are translating all information materials into Georgian language. I hope you will find these materials useful for the information campaign implemented by your organization.
