According to the “Young Barristers”, “Liberty Bank” has dismissed all staff members of service-centre at Terjola municipality branch.
The “Young Barristers” are directly involved in determining legality issues of decision made by the bank and conducted an interview with the dismissed staff members. As stated by a dismissed employee Magda Dolakidze, the dismissal is illegal.
“They came in the morning and announced that all the staff members have been dismissed on the grounds of service gaps. Nothing precise has been mentioned. We have not received an order of dismissal as well. We have been told we have to sign some kind of document. We are not planning to leave on the grounds of private dismissal. We had not received neither worning nor remarks. A direct dismissal by the bank is shocking for me. This job is an only source of making living. A sanction like this is illegal. 6 employees have been dismissed in total. These demonstrations are our response to the bank” – says the dismissed employer.
The “Young Barristers” have offered a free legal aid to the dismissed employees. On May 22nd the “Young Barristers” have launched a hotline in order to assist citizens harmed by “Liberty Bank”.
