„Young Barristers“, for the ethnical minority living in Georgia, made a presentation of project “Together for European choice” in Akhaltsikhe, Samtskhe-Javakheti region. The organization made a public lecture about the Georgian-European relation and on the basis of dialogue with group of citizens, proposed the solidity and favorability of European choice.
“Young Barristers“, during the project, ensured an active communication between educative institution of nonnative speakers, professional school and youth organizations. Public lectures were held about the topic, publishing and spread of the informative newsletter about Georgian European elections in the settlements was ensured by the participants of the meeting. In addition, the organization announced a competition of analytical article on the topic “Georgian on the way to Euro Union”, which will be closed in September. The organization will hold closing conference in chosen regions. The organization will publish collection of the winner articles and reward their authors.
The project is being supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and Science, Office of the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Information Center of NATO and EU, Committee of European Integration, Samtskhe Javakheti and Qvemo Qartli Government Attorney, Marneuli and Akhaltsikhe Municipal Council Local Educative Resoursecenters.
On the basis of organisation’s evaluation, European choice for Georgia is a responsible, historical moment, and involvement of young generation for self-consciousness, order and social environment is crucial. The essence of the project was above stated reasons, that it still is not possible to thoroughly inform citizens, with inclusion of ethnical minority, about the importance and responsibility of Georgia’s Euro integration. To overcome the problem, it is essential for youth to be informed about the good and importance of Euro integration.
The organization will hold the project “Together for European Choice” between 05/052014 – 05/09/2014. “Young Barristers” will hold next meeting in Marneuli on July 3rd. The project is financially supported by “Children & Youth Development Fund”.
