„Liberty Bank“ refused to use Archil Kaikatsishvili’s personal information without permission

“Liberty Bank” JSC admitted the fact of using costumer’s personal information without permission and stated, that it will refuse to commit such act in future.The case concerns co-founder and the leader of “Young Barristers”, Archil Kaikatsishvili’s letter to the general director of bank, Giorgi Arveladze, where it was requested for bank not to use the former costumer’s cell hpone number, on which new offers were systematically sent to.

Archil Kaikatsishvili legally exterminated the contract with “Liberty Bank” JSC in June, 2014, although, bank was still taking responsibility of the former costumers’ persona linformation. Archil Kaikatsishvili addressed the bank on July 9, 2014 and demanded to halt bank’s such actions. According to his statement, “Liberty Bank” was using the personal information without any permission, thus violating the law of “safety of personal information” on purpose.

Costumer rights defendant of “Liberty Bank” JSC, Maia Arsenishvili noted in the letter addressed to Archil Kaikatsishvili on July 31, 2014, that he will not receive any more text messages from the bank.

For the information: „Young Barristers“ already addressed the citizens, to show more caution towards this type of offers from text messages, for aside of bank’s one time offer, problems suchs as doubled rate of return, high interests rate and fine on breaking the deadline may arise. Because it is still not clear what terms and conditions are followed by so called “Instant Loan”, complications may arise, and upon not knowing, the customer may end up in the database of “Credit Info Georgia” or any of such organizations.
