The “Young Barristers” – Barrister's Professional Day reminds us the high responsibilities

The “Young Barristers” on the occasion of the Barrister’s Professional Day, attended the event organized by the Georgian Bar Association.

The “Young Barristers” congratulates professional occasion to all the members of the Georgian Bar Association and notes that lawyer's profession, makes Gerogian advocates in a special role. We can change, create, establish, give to the society, the state, the law the ability of proper development. Our profession makes our faith, our work should become an example, as motivated and principal people.

The chairman of the Georgian Bar Association Zaza Khataishvili congratulated to Georgian lawyers. Thanks to the initiative of Zaza Khatiashvili to declare 8 November as Barrister’s Professional Day in Georgia, in 2011. The Executive Board of the Georgian Bar Association made the decision of the birth day of Ilia Chavchavadze to show the respect towards him. Ilia Chavchavadze was a lawyer, barrister by profession. The professional occasion of the barristers is celebrated in Georgia already for forth time.

The “Young Barristers” was founded by the young members of Georgian Bar Association – Archil Kaikatsishvili, Marika Arevadze and Tinatin Nibloshvili, in 2012. The organization is still one of the most active, with activities in strengthening democratic processes and human rights protection. In the organization successfully operating a free legal service center. According to the statistics of 1 November, 2014, the lawyers of the organization made 114 free legal consultation and in the direction of legal proceedings, there are 12 completed and 16 ongoing cases. The organization, in 2012-2014, has won two precedental cases in the Supreme Court of Georgia.

The “Young Barristers” congratulates all current or future barristers Professional Day and wishes successful working to all of them.
