The organization “Young Barristers” announced unpresedent competition for law students of Georgian higher educational institutions. “Who will represent the case which values a million in court? Real case on the real process” - this is the name of the initiative, in which the 4th undergraduate and master students will be able to participate.

The “Young Barristers” as a youth human rights organization offers students the unique opportunity to take part as the representative on the presedental case dispute in court. The history based on the real facts – the case which values a million will be discussed by the Tbilisi City Court, however, due to uniqueness of the dispute, the organization will select team of lawyers with the most qualified strategy as representatives on the case from Georgian higher educational institutions. By doing this, all of the young lawyers, whose aim is to connect their future activities to advocacy activities, the organization offers the best practices, instead of moot court participate in a real case, the actual process.

In the case which values a million the parties are citizens of Georgia. The case is precedental, because of multiphase development of the history. The main information on the case has been published on the official page of the organization. Registered three-member teams participating in the initiative should specify the legal strategy regarding the case, how the plaintiff can receive a million, what are the legal mechanisms for resolving the dispute, what which should each actions taken in order to satisfy demand and what are the risks which may exist during the proceedings.

The “Young Barristers” will sign a contract with the best selected team of the speakers and give them the power of attorney on the case. Provides media support with respect to the litigation. In addition, the organization offers another innovation to selected plaintiff's attorneys. In particular, the period of litigation in the first instance court will be a traineeship in the organization, for real representatives on the real case

In the competition announced by the organization, law students of Georgian higher educational institutions who want to participate will be able to register a team during 21 November to 4 December 2014.
