According statement of the organization “Young Barristers” death of Iuri Vazagashvili makes the civil society, the government and the country facing challenges, since providing public safety, protection of the right of life and public order issues gains special importance. We believe that the Office of Main Prosecutor of Georgia should start criminal investigation of an accelerated form and due to high public interest, society should be informed of the stages of the investigation. It is important the prosecutor to present the high quality evidences for the factual and legal justifications, since the investigation  has launched by the Article 109 of the Criminal Code, which implies intentional murder in aggravating circumstances, it is possible to complete with a life imprisonment punishment. Accordingly, we consider that implementation of all legal action regarding the case, has a crucial role for the outcome.

The “Young Barristers” appeals to politicians, journalists, specialists, experts, citizens to maintain the special state responsibility regarding the assessment of Iuri Vazagashvili case. After January 20, 2015, the restoration of the justice system and confirmation of systemic crimes should become an irreversible process in the country. Government is committed to reconsider its attitude and to accelerate establishment of the Commission on the shortcomings of the justice. Only fast reforms can ensure the civil consent, democratic stability, the rule of law and protection of human rights in the country. We believe that the challenges in this direction, shortcomings and difficulties should be evaluated and overcome as soon as possible.

The "Young Barristers" will honor the memory of Iuri Vazagashvili, whose name in the ten years of the 21st century timeline will remain as a symbol of fighting for human rights, justice and truth.
