Organization „Young Barristers“ offers the former judge of  Supreme Court,recognized expert of law, professor,Nino Gvenetadze, to the president of Georgia as the candidate for the Chairman of Supreme Court of  Georgia.  

By the statement made by Chief-executive of “Young Barristers”,Archil Kaikatsishvili, Nino Gvenetadze holds special place in the judicial history of Georgia.In November 2005,acting in her capacity as a supreme court judge, she was one of the the first publicly stating ,that the government was trying to gain influence over judges and place court under its total control.Nino Gvenetadze was the first ,who had stated openly, that every single time,when the court of cassation started to discuss cases which were in the scope of interests of high political figures, Current Chaiman of the Supreme Court,guided by the  reference of prosecutor ,was giving certain instructions to the judges discussing such cases.Nino Gvenetadze’s behavior for that moment was nothing more then manifest of consistency,professional devotion and high reflection of public interests.Media has justly aphraised the act of  government reveal by judges, legaly performing their duties for that moment.their srtuffle for Judicial independence was calles the case of “risen judges”.  

Organization declairs,that Nino Gvenetadze is the fighter for justice and professional dignity.She possesses sufficient managerial skills and represents high professionality in the field of law.During 2005-2015 she has been performing active academic activities in different universities.She is high ranking specialist of law and does not represent interests of any political party.We believe,that her reputation,experience,impregnability deserves  trust from the society.We think that Nino Gvenetadze can perform fair trial instead of politicaly influenced court,she can be the chief referee in the process of restoring justice.Otherwise,judicial system will  step back for about 10 years in defending social interests and sharing European experience.

Nino Gvenetadze’s publicly declaired view on the development of judicial system, deserves “Young Barristers” trust.According to this view specialized chamber should be formed in the system of constitutional court and citizens should have chance to appeal dicisions of the court of cassation at the national level,before appealing to the European Court on Human Rights. We consider,that ”Small Strasbourg” model fully corresponds to the model of restoring justice mechanizms.
