On February 23,  organization “Young Barristers” organizes “Speechless” Campaign in front of the Supreme Court of Georgia to protest against Konstantine Kublashvili 10 years governence of the system of justice.

According to “Young Barristers” appraisal, judicial system reforms and established management during 10 years period of Konstantine Kublashvili governence is not sufficient  to the situation in the country. Juditial System was politicaly influenced and the judges were under regular pressure.During this period were discussed cases creating legal precedent and of high public interest,such as high profile murder cases of Girgvliani,Robakhidze,Vazagashvili.The right for the fair trail have been violated in numerouse cases,the judges have been separated into “privileged” and “unprivileged” judges..,Common Court verdicts during the period between 2003-1012 on the cases in conflict with the political interests of the governmental figures of the time,were basically illegal and politicaly influenced.In spite that  Jury Trial has been established, as a result of improper menegement it has become disfunctional  and ineffective. Proceedings in Common Courts were carried out with lots of defects,procedural rules consistency and termes were not well preserved.This have led to the accumulation of cases ,waiting for discussion, on the judges’ tables.Despite the change of the Government in 2012,Judicial System remained under the influence of the same political power as in 2003-2012.Process of ”restoring Justice” ,started within the new Government, have been rejected by juditial system.Verdicts regarding the cases of former high political figuries were passed as non-guilty.Kote Kublashvili is one of the leaders of“United National Movement’ ,parliamentary opposition ,Pavle Kublashvili’s brother.According to European Standards this fact  directly infringes the autonomy and independence of the court.

“Young barristers” Chief-executive,Archil Kaikatsishvili states,that on  February 23 campaign,they will one more time protest agains Kublashvili 10 year governance of the system.It can be concluded, that during this period ,judicial system of Georgia has been paralyzed and was not in line with any international standarts of the same field.Organization has repeatedly refered to Konstantine Kublashvili and has appealed to pay attention on the violations exsisting in the system of Common coarts.”Young Barristers ” have appealed with ten public quastions,which have as well remained unresponded.The end of Konstantine Kublashvili’s governence of the Supreme court,provokes the hope in the Civil Society of establishment of the fair trial.Especially while the candidate for the Chairman of Supreme Court,Nino Gvenetadze,  presented to the parliament by the president of Georgia,is high rank expert of law (law specialist) and does not express interest of any political party.
