The organization  “Young Barristers”  responds to the National Bank statement , according to which, the entrence of the Provisional Administration in the JCS  “Intellect Bank” in 2006 , represented the  standard procedure : “ commercial bank, ( “Intellect Bank”)  due to it’s financial conditions had endangered interests of the depositors and creditors , that,  in the end , would represent significant threat to the stability and sustainability of the banking system in general.”  According to the  NB’s  appraisal ,  the  problem solving scheme , implemented by the institution , was based on the best international practice. The procedure was transparent , as it was carried out with the ingagementt of all parties concerned .   This was one of the most successful and the healthiest way to solve the problem, the results of which, has not affected neither the creditors, nor the depositors of the bank”. 

According to the evaluation of the organization “Young Barristers”, mentioned announcement of the National Bank, represents an attempt to cover possible signs of the crime, commited by high ranking officials  of  the NB against JCS “Intellect Bank” . The organization appeals to the current  President of the National Bank of Georgia, Giorgi Qadagidze, to agree on the joint meeting with the organization and the founders of the ” Intellect Bank”, in order to make his own innocence and guiltnessless of the National Bank in  the case of bank bankruptcy,  visible and clear for the society. The organization “Young Barristers” considers, that any statement or  announcement on behalf of the  National Bank regarding “Intellect Bank”  bankruptcy case , can only serve for an ettempt to conceal their own violations. The organization has made public statement, only after  thoroughly studing all the actual materials of the case , according to which, Giorgi Qadagidze, the current President of the NB, Roman Gotsiridze, the former President of  the NB,  were named as the persons,  involved in the  bank bankruptcy case, together with the others, possibly connected  with the case.  Therefore ,  the organization offers discussion of the issue  to Giorgi Qadagidze, and conciders, that his refusal will raise more questions  in the society, regarding the compliance of the actions of  Giorgi Qadagidze with the law.  

For more information : in March 13, 2015 , the “Young Barristers” arranged special press conference, and accused the NB and it’s acting President Giorgi Qadagidze, in bank bankruptcy. The National bank of Georgia responded to the organization’s  public statement on the same day.
