The organization “Young Barristers” appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia with the request to investigate  case of Giorgi Chitarishvili, affected  during the dispersal of the protest rally of June 15, 2009 held at the General Police Department. Giorgi Chitarishvili has also appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office with a complaint, demanding start of the criminal case against citizen of Georgia, Lasha Tsanava. The video recording, provided by Giorgi Chitarishvili himself , reveals the actions of lasha Tsanava, beating the participant of the rally,  Giorgi Chitarishvili. 

The “Young Barristers” made public statement on April 1, 2015. The statement claims that according to the represented documentations, Lasha Tsanava, the person  involved in the dispersal of the rally of  June 15, 2009, was working at  Samgori District Municipality. The organization has appealed to Mamuka Choquri, the Head of Samgori District Municipality with the recommendation to make some explanations ,  if such human resource policy corresponded to the interests of the society and the process of restoring justice in the country. The organization called on the  Head of the Municipality for studying  the case regarding  his employee. However , during the media interview, the Head of Samgori District Municipality has noted, that the employment relationship with lasha Tsanava has been ended since  April 1, 2015.

Giorgi Chitarishvili demand timely investigation of the dispersal of the rally June 15, 2009. The organization considers that due to the  high  public interest and in accordance with the presumption of innocence,  the case should be investigated promptly, objectively and efficiently.
