On June 4, 2015, the Head of the Scientific-advisory Council of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Archil Kaikatsishvili introduced to the Committee draft proposal of the amendments, on the Council authority and work issues, to be made to the current regulations. According to Archil Kaikatsishvili, practical working conditions have raised the need of changes within the regulations. The changes aim to emphasize cooperation between the Council and the Committee in record of the issues of common interests. Certain questions have been asked on behalf of the Committee members during the sitting. According to the Chairman of the Committee, Eka Beselia, represented changes will pass through the legal expertise and will be proved on the nearest Committee sitting.
For more information: the Scientific-advisory Council of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament was created on February 6, 2015, on the basis of the decision of the Chairman of the Committee. The Council consists of the representatives from NGOs and International organizations, as well as of the independent experts and professionals. The Council participates in the process of drafting recommendations, proposals and programs in record of the Human Rights protection and contributes to the effective implementation of the Human Rights reforms.
