A new foreign employee joined working team of the organization On May 5, 2015. For the next 6 months, “Peace Corps” Volunteer is going to assist the organization in preparation of the strategic projects, promotion of the communications with foreign partners, human resources management and advocacy issues. The Chief-executive of the organization, Archil Kaikatsishvili introduced David to the employees and provided information about organization and it’s activities.
David Mayo is one of the distinguished “Peace Corps” Volunteers. He graduated from Harvard, George Washington university and the university of Cincinnati. He is the Master of Public Health, Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Art in History. David Mayo’s work experience includes missions in more than 10 different countries of the world. He has significant experience of working with non-governmental organizations throughout the world, including Georgia. In 2004, he entered short-term consultancy within the frameworks of the USAID project, to start peace-building programs among Youth in Georgia, South Ossetia and Abkhazia. During 2009 – 2012, as a volunteer, he mentored regional NGOs and Government officials in Georgia in core organizational competences, including strategic planning, project design, project management and coalition building. In eastern Georgia, he expanded resources for Georgian citizens by helping NGOs cooperate among themselves and with the Government.
The organization prepared the statement to participate in the “Peace Corps” program in November, 2014. The representation of the “Peace Corps” in Georgia had studied the activities, capacities and interests of the organization. In May 2015, a decision, involving the “Young Barristers” in the “Peace Corps” program, was made.
