Irma Nadirashvili deliberately does not react on the facts of nepotism

1 იანვარი, 2013

According to the announcement of non-governmental organization the “Young Barristers”, the parliamentary minority has no political will to study the facts of nepotism, evaluate and in the frames of deputy rights, react correspondingly. The organization publishes a letter to one of the leaders of “United National Movement” party, asking to study the facts of nepotism which occurred in Kutaisi public college “New Wave” by illegal decisions of the director David Mtchedlishvili.

According to the co-founder of the organization – Mr. Archil Kaikatsishvili, the party remained silent towards these documents, because the director of the college is a representative and defender of interests of the “United National Party” since its establishment in the local level. For your information: David Mtchedlishvili was leading Kobuleti Regional District in favor of “National Movement” in elections of 2003. The director of the college represented a member of the commission and ran an electoral campaign in favor of “United national Movement” in Presidential and Parliamentary elections of January and May 2008. He took an official vacation during the parliamentary elections of 2012 and along with the majority candidate of the “United National Movement” held meetings with the society of the municipality. The director turned the college into a meeting place of the ruling party’s regional committee, where trainings and preparations were held of the “United National Movement” local supporters. An employee of the college, representative of the information centre Teona Menafire has become a self-announced journalist of “info-9”. Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili awarded David Mtchedlishvili with a medal of honor on September 30, 2012, thanking him for political support.

The “Young Barristers” presented a research on transparency of Kobuleti public school administrative governance, which revealed the facts of scandalous nepotism. In precise, 46 employees out of 70 have been family members and relatives of the director. The organization asked the parliamentary minority to study legal issues of spending incomes in the base of the educational facility, as well as the incomes from the shops, pastry, restaurants and rental incomes, however, the parliament member – Irma Nadirashvili in frames of her deputy mandate, refused to help.

The research paid attention to 18 year-long governance of Mr. Davit Mtchedlishvili, who maintained his job position by being close to “United National Movement”. What is more, factual and judicial proofs have been briefly presented on another illegal action of the college director, according to which, David Mtchedlishvili fired the vice-director on behalf of political opinions. The case is currently being reviewed by the Supreme Court of Georgia.

According to evaluations of the “Young Barristers”, if a renewed policy and approaches towards transparent democratic governance of the “United National Movement” is a reality, it is hard to understand, why there are no facts of concession of deputy rights on these documents, are there any facts of selective approaches, since David Mtchedlishvili still represents the “United National Movement” party.
